【摘要】:ThisspecificationcoversperformancerequirementsforhelmetsusedinBMXcycling.Studieshaveshownhigherrisktotheheadandfaceforthissportascomparedtorecreationalstreetriding;therefore,thisspecificationrequiresimpactprotectionoveralargerareaoftheheadthanSpecificationF1447andtheCPSCstandard.Thisspecificationalsoprovidesperformancecriteriaforhelmetsequippedwithchinbars.AlltestingandrequirementsofthisspecificationshallbeinaccordancewithTestMethodsF1446exceptwherenotedherein.Partialutilizationofthisspecificationisprohibited.Anystatementofcompliancewiththisspecificationshallbeacertificationthattheheadgearwithfaceguardmeetsalloftherequirementsofthespecificationintheirentirety.Aheadgearwithfaceguardthatfailstomeetanyoneoftherequirementsofthisspecificationisconsideredtohavefailedthespecification,andshallnotbesoldwithanyindicationthatitmeetspartsofthespecification.Headgeardesignedtocomplywiththisandotherstandardsmayproclaimusesascertifiedbythemanufacturer.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
