【摘要】:ThisspecificationestablishestheprocedureforlongitudinalCharpyV-notchtestingofstructuralsteelandcontainstwofrequenciesoftesting.Theimpactpropertiesofsteelcanvarywithinthesameheatandpiece,beitasrolled,controlrolled,orheattreated.Thepurchasershould,therefore,beawarethattestingofoneplate,bar,orshapedoesnotprovideassuranceallplates,bars,orshapesofthesameheatasprocessedwillbeidenticalintoughnesswiththeproducttested.Normalizingorquenchingandtemperingtheproductwillreducethedegreeofvariation.Thisspecificationisintendedtosupplementspecificationsforstructuralsteelwhensospecified.Thisspecificationdoesnotnecessarilyapplytoallproductspecifications;therefore,themanufacturerorprocessorshouldbeconsultedforenergyabsorptionlevelsandminimumtestingtemperaturesthatcanbeexpectedorsupplied.Twofrequenciesoftesting(PandH)areprescribed.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththisspecification.
